Ned Dougherty

Ned Dougherty is an award-winning teacher and playwright whose plays have been developed with The Playwrights Workshop, The Greenbrier Valley Theatre, AboutFACE Ireland, ForgeNYC, the Taos Center for the Arts. He is a 2024 semifinalist for the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference and his work has been staged for festivals or independent productions from Albuquerque to Ireland. In 2025, he was selected as a Tamarack Foundation for the Arts Creative Entrepreneur Fellow. He is a two-time Fund For Teachers fellow and has facilitated writing workshops with the Taos Writers Conference and the Appalachian Studies Association. He teaches middle and high school students navigating the juvenile justice system and leads free creative writing classes for youth in Pocahontas County, WV where he lives with his family.

Amanda Page is a Columbus-based writer from southern Ohio. Her work appears in Belt Magazine, The Daily Yonder, 100 Days in Appalachia, Literary Hub and Yes! Magazine. She is the editor of The Columbus Anthology from Belt Publishing and The Ohio State University Press, and creator of Packard’s Columbus, a walking tour of Frank Packard architecture in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Her essay, “The Packard Presence in Columbus, Ohio,” about developing the tour, is featured in the anthology Midwest Architecture Journeys from Belt Publishing. She is also co-director, with David Bernabo, of the documentary, Peerless City, about the rise and decline (and rise) of Portsmouth, Ohio as examined through the lens of three slogans adopted by the city over the last 100 years.
